Hi, my name is Justin, and I self-harm

Sometimes I just don't know how to cope. I get stressed really easily, I'm depressed a lot of the time, and I don't express my anger properly. I've been self-harming for years.

It's been about a month since I last cut. Recently, I've been feeling like everything is pointless. I've ended up staying in bed all day because it feels like there's nothing worth doing. At the same time, I've been getting the urge to self-harm. For me, it manifests as an itching in my arm. It feels like there's something inside it that I have to cut out. I have been resisting the urge, though.

How do you cope with the urge to cut?

I cut once,but I discovered that is easier and less painfull to take a overdose(of meds,not drugs)
Although I am thinking that if I were able to cut my throat,I'll surely die.But I am afraid.Its easier to cut my wrists.Or even easier to take pils.But I had 3 attempts and i'm still alive.So they aren't always very effective.

There are many people who self-harm, not as a suicide attempt, but as a way to get release. Though I am often suicidal, I'm not attempting suicide when I cut.

Are you willing to discuss what it is that makes you feel suicidal? Is there anything, apart from failed attempts, that's stopping you from killing yourself? Is there something in your life that you cling to that stops you acting on the urge to kill yourself?

Hi. I hate myself. I cut my thighs to punish myself. I just hurt people and I dont want to hurt my family by killing myself. If they new I cut theyd be upset with me.

Why do you hate yourself?

I dont fit in at school or home. Im ugly and boring. Noone like me. Its my fault because Im not the kind of person people like.

Hi Lost. Look sweetheart, it's not your fault that people don't like you. That's their problem, not yours. If they're not able to like you for who you are then who needs them?? I know how you feel though.

moonlight is right lost you seem like a lovely person and if they can see that, that is there loss and our gain i understand tho i was bullied really badly at school i was not like them but i will not change who i am, it made me stronger school although it feels like i know believe me is not forever
